MED's Blues Dramatic Art

We finally finshed this semester. I can still recall the moment that I did my first monologue. This year I have touched many different types of performances such as monologue songalogue ang silent movie. These things make understand the different colour of acting and trained my acting skill at some point. Besides，I’m very glad to meet all those excellent performer in this class，they really have taught me something I didn't know too. All the final project，Pacific is dancing and from the scen it’t like I ’m just playing piano. However，actually the background music is played by me. The song we did called Someone In The Crowd，so half of the time I'm playing that for Pac's dancing. Interestingly，the last part of the project，it’s my solo time，and we wanted it be calm and a bit ofsad so actually I mixed song called Marry Christmas Mr.Lawence into the project which gave another feeling to the project.  For the final project, Pacific and I decided to gather a group. We are going to do a song from the movie La La Land called Some In The Crowd. We are going to cut a part of it to do. We decided to cut the instrumental part of the song. Pacific is going to design a dance and I'm going to play piano for her. We decided to put some storyline into it. Therefore, we are going to film it. The first part will be Pac's solo acting part which means I' ll be keeping playing piano on the background, but she will be acting. The second part is Pac starts dancing and I play the piano beside her. The third part is my solo part, it will be a bit depressing but it's gonna turn to fast and happy as the verse. At the last, I and Pac are gonna meet again and end the performance. It sounds very easy for me. However, it's actually very hard for me. First of all, literally, I am not a  pianist.  We finally finished our first draft of our silent movie. We really have a very long storyline and we have five scenes. The first scene, we tell a story that two friend that have to leave each other since one got a colleague appliance and other didn't. We came across a trouble when we filmed this, that we couldn't really see the appliance through the camera. However, we solved it by filming the scene, filming a single moment for the appliance and put them together. The second scene, we did that very smoothly, it is about one friend walks another to train station, I turned the speed of this scene a bit slower and I'd say it's sad. The third scene is simple and it's about they miss each other in different places. Moreover, we put some flashbacks in the middle of the scene, I think that would work very well.
