MED's Blues Dramatic Art

My favorite line of the poem " Carpe Dime" is "there is little lasting joy in things done only for gold or fame." I think the author uses very simple wording but a beautiful sentence structure to tell people that there are more interesting things to do rather than gold or fame. I also like a very short line which is "Take in the smells of life, good and foul." I think the author uses a very simple structure to make people to try different things no matter it is good or bad. Moreover, in stead of using "disgusting" or "bed" those daily words, the author uses "Foul" , I think it is a smart choice.

Rhythm/Pattern/Repetition/Meter/Beat Carpe Diem : I think the author used different language to wrote the poem is interesting, and the author writes the poem with the time of a day. I think this poem is used to encourage people to do the best in the present rather than dealing with the future. I really like the line " There is little lasting joy in the things done only for gold or fame" And the emotion is positive Introduction to Poetry: I think it is interesting because the author is like writing a story within the poem. I thin this poem is talking about modern people try to dig the meaning of the poem rather than enjoying and felling the poem. I like the line " I want them t o waterski." I think the entire emotion of the poem is calm but criticism. 

Last week, we finished our first project which was the monolog performance.  For myself, my project was not perfect, I think it was okay. One thing I did do well was I pretty much showed the emotion that I wanted to show. However, I messed up with the words, so it left effect on my performance, there were a few places that seemed unnatural and over-acted because I was thinking about the words. I did not stop though, I think I did well on that. I was not affected by the words and kept going on. The thing I need to work on is definitely remembering the words, if I had remembered the words better, I should have performed much better. One thing I noticed was a lot of classmates have a very good sense of camera, they know have to interact with the "audience" inside the camera which makes their product great, but sometimes it would effect the interact with the audience sitting in front of the actor. One thing we definitely need to work on as a class is the pausing when people are...

Once, I finished the show, I wanted to go back to my home meet my family so badly. I got into the last helicopter, it flew so slowly. And then, I heard a “boom” just like the sound through my amp. I fall in a coma. As I woke up, I saw the people that I knew before holding hands, I saw trees of green and red roses too.  Where am I? I heard music down the ground I was standing, people were singing the song from Alpine valley the place I had last show. Am I died, am I in heaven? I saw the people who are gone long ago, I saw T-bone, I saw Freddie. Yes, I’m in heaven, I have never been this peace and calm. No war, no fighting. All I have is the peacefle breezing wind. I like here, but I died in the day the blues died. 

I chose this picture to represent myself because I'm a guitarist, the guitar holding by the guy can easily tell that. I use multiple amps to make my music loud, as the picture shows there are two amps with two big cabinets. Moreover, the guy who is holding the guitar is a great blues guitarist from Texas who is my idol named Stevie Ray Vaughan, and I mainly play his style which is typical Texas blues.
