Direct project

Again, we have done another project last week. It is a songanologue from a musical called Waiter, very beautiful song. First, Mao as our director did a great job, we are a small group, but it is also easier to discuss. Although we just had two actors we showed the story completely. I was struggling with memorizing the lines, but Pacific did a great job. I'm so glad that the lines were flowing in the final version.  Pacific really got very good expressions, I don't think it can be shown clearly in the video which is sad. I think the whole songanologue is great, but there is also something we can discuss further. I think the voice of us was still a little bit small, it is pretty hard at the beginning to start with a loud voice because of the beginning is quite sad, we may find a way to solve this if we have more time to practice in the black box. I can tell sometimes, I turned back and did not face the audiences, I should be aware of that more. It is not shown by the video but Pacific laughed, however, it doesn't affect the songanologue strongly.

Monologue Review

                                                We have done our little monologue acting through last few week，everyone‘s wonderful and it makes stressful. Anyway，for my acting，the boy named Austin knocks head of school’s door，I would like to say there is something I‘m quit satisfied，but also there is something I think I can prove. First，I’m very glad that can learn something from classmates，everyone has their characteristics when they are performing，I really have stolen some from them. Sound in theatre

The sound  designer is in charge of anything that is heard during the production. This includes life or recorded music and  sound  effects as well as the vocal projection of the actors, both speaking and singing. A bit History Around 3000BC, China and India accompanied their theatrical productions with incorporated music and sound, and we know of examples of sound used throughout the history of theatre. In Greek tragedies and comedies the productions call for storms, earthquakes, and thunder when gods appear. LET’s Drink a Case of You “A Case Of You” as a song which has been very popular since 1971 has several interesting point to analysis and people have different adaptations within the text. Most of people think that the song talks about all the missing the author has to her lost husband.  It seems to me, the text tries to prove how much the author misses her country and loves her country. Joni Mitchell is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She quotes the famous Shakespeare line “ I am as constant as a northern star” on the first stanza of the song. It is spoke by by Caesar to his conspirators right before they assassinate him. I think it shows the constant heart of the author that she loves her country deeply and her heart will never be moved.  Moreover, following the text, the author states that “ I drew a map of Canada Oh, Canada” .
