Student's Monologue

I would like to stage Jeff's songnalogue, I think it's called When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars.
First,  this song is about a man's regret of a woman he loves. He didn't realize how much he loves her when he was young, now he wants her to come back, but she can't. This monologue is definitely sad, depressing and full of tears. When I stage it, I want to show the weakness of the man. Therefore, I would set my stage as a park in the fall. The park might be the place that the man and the lady first met, and since it's in fall, so there are a lot of leaves fell down and cool wind to render the sadness.  I would use blowers to create the effect of wind. The stage would be full of fallen leaves，and also the actor can wear a long coat to show that the season is fall. The main sound I would like to say is the sound of strong wind. Moreover， I want to use more actor to wandering on the back group, they can act as couples to emphasize the main character's loneliness. I just want the light to be normal, like a sunny day, but not dark.

Monologue Review

                                                We have done our little monologue acting through last few week，everyone‘s wonderful and it makes stressful. Anyway，for my acting，the boy named Austin knocks head of school’s door，I would like to say there is something I‘m quit satisfied，but also there is something I think I can prove. First，I’m very glad that can learn something from classmates，everyone has their characteristics when they are performing，I really have stolen some from them. I learnt how to focus  on details and sometimes a little action or expression can effect the character you are performing. Sound in theatre

The sound  designer is in charge of anything that is heard during the production. This includes life or recorded music and  sound  effects as well as the vocal projection of the actors, both speaking and singing. LET’s Drink a Case of You “A Case Of You” as a song which has been very popular since 1971 has several interesting point to analysis and people have different adaptations within the text. Most of people think that the song talks about all the missing the author has to her lost husband.  It seems to me, the text tries to prove how much the author misses her country and loves her country. Joni Mitchell is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She quotes the famous Shakespeare line “ I am as constant as a northern star” on the first stanza of the song. It is spoke by by Caesar to his conspirators right before they assassinate him. I think it shows the constant heart of the author that she loves her country deeply and her heart will never be moved.  Moreover, following the text, the author states that “ I drew a map of Canada Oh, Canada” .
